We are looking to add to our team of Examination Invigilators who will be employed on an as required basis to assist the Examinations Manager.

  • Do you enjoy working as part of a team, and have a good awareness of, and ability to, exercise confidentiality when necessary?
  • Are you available for work during school examination periods throughout the year?

The main summer public examination season runs from May to the end of June, with some practical examinations during March and April.  We also run mock examinations for our Y11 pupils during October/November and February/March and end of year assessments for our other Year groups also during May, June and into July.

Exams are the most important and stressful events in the life of a learner.  That’s why it is so important they are managed in the correct way.  Invigilators are crucial to this process; ensuring exams are conducted in accordance with Examination Boards and School Regulations.  Working as a team, invigilators contribute to ensuring a calm environment for exams, giving candidates confidence in the process.  The role includes distributing and collecting exam papers, monitoring the exam room to ensure that no unfair means are used by any student in relation to the examination and any other examination related duties.

Previous experience is not necessary as training will be provided and you will become part of a friendly and supportive team.
